Forget everything you think you might know about care home food (conjuring up images of school-like dinners and over-boiled vegetables!)

At Sanctuary Care we recognise mealtimes have always been a focus for residents in our homes which is why we invest in fantastic chefs and catering staff who can deliver delicious, nutritious menus and create an enjoyable dining experience for our residents. Some of our residents enjoy getting involved in the preparation and serving of food!

Person-centred care home dining

Cooked or continental? Sandwiches or hot food? The choice is yours with residents being involved in creating seasonal nutritional menus from old favourites to trying something new…there’s also always freshly baked cakes to enjoy for afternoon tea.

Midnight snack? No problem, refreshments are available to residents throughout the day and evening if they get a little peckish.

Dining with Dignity

We encourage mealtimes where residents can eat together and socialise in a relaxing environment but understand that residents may wish to enjoy food when they and where they choose to have it.

Our trained staff understand the importance of eating well and staying hydrated and supporting residents living with dementia to enjoy food in their environment – making food more visible through coloured crockery and more appealing whether it's pureed, finger foods or moulded.

Sanctuary Care proudly hosted its fifth annual Chefs’ Conference, bringing together culinary talent from across its Sanctuary Care homes and Sanctuary Supported Living’s services for a vibrant celebration of talent, innovation, and creativity in care catering.
