Our nursing home in Camborne
St Martin’s has 40 bedrooms. They offer our residents a comfortable space in which to relax and call their own. Here, at Sanctuary, we want to create a home-from-home, which is why we encourage residents to decorate their rooms with reminders of loved ones and treasures from home.
Around the home, we have several communal areas, including a lounge where we spend much of our time – enjoying a good natter, partaking in hobbies and getting involved in activities. They feature Wi-Fi connectivity too.
The separate quiet lounge provides cosy spots for people to read, or catch up with visiting loved ones. We also have a bright and airy conservatory – much loved on those bright, sunny days.
When mealtimes arrive, we love nothing more than to gather for some good, hearty home-cooked food in our dining rooms. Shared dining occasions help to bring people together, and there’s always a seat for the loved ones of our residents – so, they can dine together just like they did before.
We also have two gardens. The main garden is flat and wheelchair-accessible, so everyone can get out to enjoy the colourful sights of the raised flower beds. Our courtyard garden has a greenhouse, where our green-fingered residents grow their own fruit and vegetables.
Our activities at St Martin's
We pride ourselves on being an active and busy bunch. There’s always something going on at our nursing home in Camborne - whether it’s arts and crafts sessions, community coffee mornings and seasonal fêtes, or trips into town.
Many of our most popular activities are centred around our sensory table, which provides residents with interactive opportunities to engage and stimulate their minds. It particularly benefits our residents living with dementia.
Although we’re always arranging activities for people to get involved in, we strongly support our residents’ independence. They’re free to spend their time in the way that makes them happiest. We also support them to partake in any hobbies they had before joining us.
Our person-centric care approach
At St Martin’s, we look after people who need help with nursing and dementia care. We also support people living with terminal or life-limiting conditions, and carers with short and long-term respite care. Our team is highly skilled and passionate about making each day fulfilling and special for our residents.
We like to get to know our residents and their friends and family, as we believe they make our home so special. All the support we deliver is built around comprehensive individual care plans. We look beyond a person’s condition, supporting them in a way that will specifically benefit them.
These plans are continually assessed to ensure needs are met as conditions change. Our residents can always rest safe knowing that there’s a friendly carer there for them 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Pricing information
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.
