We understand moving into a care home is a huge life adjustment. Our team takes the time to get to know each of our residents as individuals, so we can support them in doing the things that mean most to them.

Our residents are free to spend their time the way they like. However, the team also runs a busy events and activities calendar. It means there’s always something to get involved in, including:

• Baking sweet treats such as cakes and biscuits to share with others.
• Pampering sessions in the salon – whether it’s haircuts, manicures or pedicures, we love to look and feel our best.
• Growing fresh produce in our garden’s vegetable patch which we use in our recipes.
• Visits from local entertainers – we see music as a therapeutic activity that can reignite wonderful memories, particularly for people living with dementia or cognitive disorders.
• Animal therapy sessions – visits from our four-legged friends are always a highlight. We’ve even welcomed Shetland ponies to The Park!
  • We make sure residents with greater physical disabilities and higher nursing care needs don’t miss out either – by organising bed side visits.
• Barbecues out in the garden during the warmer, summer months.

We provide short-stay and longer-term planned respite care breaks at our care home in Chaddesden, Derby, as well as an emergency respite service in the event of something unexpected.

Respite care provides caregivers with the opportunity to take a well-deserved holiday, or some time away from the high-pressure responsibilities that come with caring for a loved one.

You may need support with convalescence. This is also available at The Park – we can ensure you have the peace of mind that round-the-clock support is there from our care and nursing staff.
