The Park's glowing CQC report
The Park Residential and Nursing Home in Chaddesden is celebrating a triumphant achievement following an impressive report by the Care Quality Commission.
The care home was graded as ‘good’ across five quality indicators. These being safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership.
In the recent inspection report, the home’s staff were highly commended; “they do anything for the [residents]”.
The home was also praised as they had “taken steps to ensure a welcoming, diverse and inclusive community.”
Amongst the standout features observed in the inspection were the positive interactions between staff and residents. Inspectors noted the “banter and humour” shared among them, which residents participated in joyfully. Detailed, personalised plans were another highlight, as staff took the time to understand and cater to each resident’s preferences.
The quality of care was also commended by the inspectors, highlighting that “staff knew what good person-centred care looked like and showed a commitment to providing this.”
Home manager Juliet Gardner commented: “We are delighted to be recognised for the inclusive and welcoming community that we nurture within the home. This rating is a true testament to the team’s commitment to not only maintaining the highest standards of care, but also to making each resident’s experience as positive as possible through building strong and caring relationships."
