Life at Upton Dene
Built in 2016, our care home in Chester has some exceptional features to support a wonderful lifestyle for our residents, including:
• a cinema room with comfortable seating – so, residents can relax while watching a classic movie.
• a hairdressing salon – with weekly visits from a local hairdresser to ensure our residents can look their very best.
• a dedicated dining room – here, we enjoy home-cooked cuisine, as well as freshly baked cakes and treats with afternoon tea.
• spacious bedrooms with walk-in wet rooms – our residents are encouraged to make the space their own with reminders of loved ones.
• accessible gardens, with a pavilion, giant sails and sensory plants – designed to stimulate senses and evoke memories in our residents living with dementia.

There is so much to do at Upton Dene. We’re firm believers that life as it was doesn’t end when you or a loved one moves into a care home.
Residents are free to spend their time the way they love most. However, our care team regularly organises engaging activities too, including:
• Fizzy Fridays in the cinema room – where we settle down to watch a film with a glass of fizz and popcorn from our vintage machine.
• pampering sessions in the salon – with regular manicures and hand massages.
• socialising over a cuppa and cake against a backdrop of music in our vintage tea shop.
• our ‘virtual summer cruise’ – where we bring the flavours, cultures and traditions from around the world to our care home.
• the gardening club – enabling our residents to grow their own fruit and veg, connect and enjoy their independence.
• day trips with our care team to local Cheshire beauty spots, such as Chester Zoo, Chester Cathedral and Tatton Park.

Our devoted, professional team is here to meet our residents’ increasing and changing needs. Whether you or your loved one are joining us for residential care. living with Alzheimer’s or any other form of dementia, we’re here.
We also have highly-trained nursing staff, who are here 24/7 to provide support – including palliative or end-of-life care for elderly people living with terminal illnesses or limit-limiting conditions.
We’re here to support carers and families too. Our respite care service is designed to allow carers to take a break, while the person they care for continues to receive the bespoke care they need.

Pricing information

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed.
