Pengover Care Home, Liskeard

Pengover care home is built to provide a comfortable environment for the people we care for. The first thing you’ll see when visiting our lovely home is the large, safe and much-loved garden – designed by our residents.

The gardens are wheelchair friendly, with level lawns and pathways that are easily accessible for our residents. Patio seating areas and benches provide the perfect spots for peaceful moments. As part of our ‘Grow Your Own Way’ initiative, we also grow our own grapes, runner beans, tomatoes and corn.

Within the home, we have two adjoining lounges, which feature Wi-Fi access and patio doors overlooking the gardens. Here, our residents can catch up with loved ones, socialise and make plans for the day ahead. We also have a dining room where we enjoy delicious and hearty home-cooked food together.

Our care home in Liskeard offers a truly person-centred care experience - whether it’s a little extra support with daily life or more intensive nursing care that’s required. We also support people living with different types of dementia, as well as provide temporary respite care.

By combining a professional approach with a firm focus on the individuality of every person who lives with us, we really get to know our residents and develop a relationship with them that is based on understanding and empathy.

When residents join us at Pengover, we develop a comprehensive care plan, setting out the care we aim to provide and how we will achieve this. We continually assess these plans, working with residents to ensure their needs are met.

We have a longstanding team at Pengover, with some of our staff having been here for more than 20 years. During this time, they've fostered a warm and friendly atmosphere within the home, where residents and staff are like extended family to each other.

Pricing information

It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2024 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1,498 and for nursing care £1,579, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
