Dalby Court Residential Care Home in Middlesbrough
One of our two care homes in Middlesbrough, the team are what make Dalby Court such a special place. Some of our staff have worked here for 10, 15 and even 20 years, giving our care home a really warm, family feel.
Providing residential and dementia care, we also offer respite care breaks. These are ideal if you are caring for a relative at home, and need a break yourself, knowing they are safe in our care.
Our stunning gardens at Dalby Court
At the heart of our Middlesbrough care home is a beautiful secure, central garden - a lovely place to relax with family and friends. Full of roses and other flowers, our residents love to enjoy the sunshine, listening to the birds. There is also a water feature and large lawns, surrounded by wheelchair-friendly pathways.
Our residents love to sit outside and enjoy fish and chip lunches and afternoon tea, with home-baked cakes and scones from our care home chef.
The gardens are the perfect spot for enjoying musical performances, with entertainers visiting Dalby Court, and other care homes in Middlesbrough, for special performances.
Activities at our Middlesbrough care home
Dalby Court has its own Namaste room, which is a relaxing spot, especially for our residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Residents can enjoy a foot spa or a hand massage, while listening to their favourite music. There is also mood lighting, a bubble machine and other sensory equipment. This room is also a lovely spot for pamper days, where residents can enjoy a hand massage and manicure!
We are proud to be one of very few care homes in Middlesbrough to have our own bar. The Coulby Inn, is a place where our residents enjoy socialising with a drink, playing games and quizzes. The room is also used to celebrate private family events, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
Our maintenance man Ged, who was part of a male voice choir, has started our own care home choir. This is a wonderful activity, especially for our residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Ged loves to sing with the residents, who find music such a relaxing and therapeutic activity.
