In the running for three Caring UK Awards 2024
The team and residents at three Sanctuary Care homes are celebrating after being shortlisted as finalists in the prestigious Caring UK Awards, celebrating excellence across the care sector.
In Birmingham, our Briarscroft Residential Care Home is in the running for the Management Team of the Year Award. One of the highlights of their nomination was how they have created a ‘micro community’ where residents and their families are involved in every aspect of how the home is run, giving them a true sense of belonging.
Over in Scotland, Abercorn House Care Home in Hamilton is shortlisted for the Regional Care Home of the Year Scotland Award. The home was nominated for the way the team not only provides outstanding care, but for the inspirational ways they look beyond the residents’ physical and emotional needs, to provide care that truly enriches their lives.
In Dumfries, Allanbank Care Home has been named a finalist for the Catering Team of the Year accolade. The home was nominated for the incredible home-cooked meals prepared by Chef Manager, Sharon Marshall, and Assistant Chef, Leah Livingstone. Together with the team they create a community at Allanbank where food is not just about nutrition, it is also a source of joy, celebration and connection.
In addition to this award, Allanbank is also in the running for the Nutrition & Eating Well accolade in Scottish Care’s Care Home Awards 2024, which take place in November.
The teams will go head-to-head with six other finalists in each category, to find out if they have won at a ceremony in Leicester on Thursday 5 December, so watch this space!
The awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading care industry magazine Caring UK, with support from headline sponsor Virgin Money.
