Glowing Good Care Inspectorate report

The residents and team at our Bridge View House Nursing Home in Dundee are celebrating after receiving a ‘Good’ Care Inspectorate report.
Our not for profit home’s “compassionate and caring” team received high praise, described by residents’ loved ones as going “above and beyond” in the “wonderful” care they provide. One relative said simply: “I couldn’t ask for better.”
Comments in the report, which rated the staffing team as a stand out ‘Very Good’, included: "I can't fault any of the staff, they are all so good and kind. I know my relative is well looked after and that's such a relief for me”.
Inspectors also revealed: “People benefitted from staff who were compassionate and caring and they could be assured that their care and support was a priority. They told us that staff were kind and caring and that they were very happy with their care.
“We saw that people were treated well, with dignity and respect. We observed many kind and caring interactions between staff and people living in the care home. Staff clearly knew people well and understood how best to support them.”
One of the many highlights in the report was the team’s dedication to creating a wide variety of engaging experiences for the residents to enjoy. It read: “The service had a dedicated activity team who were also supported by care staff. There was a good range of opportunities for people to take part in meaningful activity, both within the home and local community. People spoke highly of the activities available to them.”
The “calm and relaxed” mealtime experience was also highlighted, with high quality home-cooked food. Comments included: "The food is really good” and "I get whatever I fancy to eat, the cook comes and has a chat with me to make sure I'm happy with my meals."
Home manager Jimmy Etchels said: “I am so proud to lead such a fantastic team here at Bridge View House and the wonderful praise they have received is truly well deserved. We have an exceptional team who are passionate about enriching the lives of the residents each and every day, and I am delighted that this was highlighted in our report.”
