Sanctuary Care has an awards hat-trick!
Sanctuary Care has a hat-trick after being named as a finalist for three Care Home Awards 2023: Outstanding Larger Group Care Provider, Best for Wellbeing and Best for Training and Development.
The Care Home Awards, run by Care Home Management, are an annual benchmark of innovation and excellence.
We were shortlisted for the Outstanding Larger Group Care Provider award following the launch of our Enriching Lives framework, based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled (a sense of security, belonging, continuity, purpose, achievement, and significance). The framework takes person-centred care to the next level whilst supporting our residents and staff to work towards their goals and life choices.
This is reflected in the Best for Wellbeing award, which has seen Sanctuary Care celebrated for our use of social and leisure activities, combined with alternative therapies to support residents’ wellbeing, from co-production to animal therapy, Tai Chi, aromatherapy, and reflexology.
We have also been recognised for our dedication to staff training and development, with highlights including our Overseas Recruitment Programme and Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship Scheme, and working towards the Opening Doors, Pride in Care accreditation, which aims to enhance support for residents in the LGBTQ+ community.
Sarah Clarke-Kuehn, Chief Operating Officer – Care said: “I’m thrilled that we have been named as a finalist in three fantastic categories in the Care Home Awards. We have an incredible team of people who go above and beyond to enrich the lives of our residents each and every day.
“To be recognised not only as an outstanding group provider but also for our dedication to wellbeing, training and development is testament to the exceptional care we provide and our commitment to nurturing and developing our staff!”
The winners of the Care Home Awards will be announced on June 30 at a special ceremony in London.
