Celebrating a decade of care - happy birthday Haven!

Residents, their loved ones and our team at Haven Residential Care Home celebrated the home’s 10th anniversary in style recently with a special visit from the King of Rock’n’roll, Elvis Presley!

Marking a decade of care, residents and guests took to the garden to enjoy the glorious summer weather over a BBQ feast, music and live entertainment.

The real highlight was a surprise visit from an Elvis tribute act, bringing back memories from the 1950s.

After dancing to the rock and roll classics, Tom Grubb, a local magician from Pinner delighted the audience with a series of spectacular illusions.

Peter Bharj has been the care home manager at Haven since March 2022, and over the past year has arranged countless parties, celebrations and activities to enrich the lives of the residents. Speaking of the latest festivities, he commented:

“It was a great day shared with our residents, loved ones and staff members to celebrate the care we have been providing in this community for ten years. Like any family, we do everything we can to recognise these milestone moments, by doing this we ensure residents feel a strong sense of community, which is one of the six touchpoints for living an enriched life.”
