“There’s a beaming smile on her face and you know she feels at home” Tracey on why mum Ann is loving life at Barony

Andrew and Tracey never imagined they would consider permanent care for Andrew’s mother Ann, until they found Barony Lodge.

Tracey explains that they had never considered that Ann would need a care home and struggled for a while when it became apparent that she did however, after moving into Barony Lodge Residential Care Home in Nantwich nearly a year ago, they can’t believe how happy she is!

Tracey explains: “She couldn’t be more settled! I can’t thank the staff enough – they are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much trouble.

"I’ve never known staff like it and the way she smiles at them! As soon as she comes back to Barony after going out there’s a big beaming smile on her face and you know she feels at home.

"It’s so comforting that you can go home knowing she is safe and happy – and it feels like home when we visit. We’ve got to know the staff really well too and you can talk to them about anything.”

Enriching lives every day

Tracey says there’s so much going on to keep Ann engaged and happy, from petting the home’s rabbits and having her hair done in the hair and beauty salon, to socialising with her fellow residents.

She adds: “Her en-suite room is absolutely beautiful, with views across the Barony and the beautiful garden. 

“I can’t emphasise how happy we are, knowing she's well looked after and cared for all the time.”
