Haven is blessed with great transport links. We’re just a 10-minute drive from Harrow. Hatch End train station is just a 10-minute walk from the home – with Overground trains on the Watford DC Line.

Upon arriving at our home, you’ll see we have facilities designed to make our residents’ lives as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. They include:

• 30 single bedrooms with ensuite wet room facilities – ready for you or your loved one to personalise with special trinkets and treasures.
• Hairdressing salon – our mobile hairdresser regularly visits us for blow dries, sets and trims.
• Open plan lounge and dining area – perfect for socialising, activities and enjoying home-cooked meals prepared by our chef!
• Sensory room – decorated with soft lighting and cosy armchairs, it’s a tranquil space that’s beneficial for our residents affected by dementia.
• Wheelchair-accessible gardens – we love to get out and enjoy the fresh air. There’s plenty of comfortable seating and lots of vibrant flowers.

• Sun terrace – overlooks our stunning garden and features a dedicated spot for plants and flowers.

We have a dedicated activities co-ordinator at our care home in Pinner, so our calendar is always packed with plenty to get involved in. These include:

• Gardening club – we take great pride in ensuring our garden looks its bright and bold best, getting stuck into planting and maintaining the beds.
• Gentle exercise – these sessions help our residents remain active and can be adapted for people with greater physical disabilities.
• Pamper sessions – we love spending time in our hairdressing salon!
• Local entertainment – our residents regularly enjoy performances from visiting musicians and performers.
• Community visits – local school children and volunteers connected to Hatch End, Pinner and Harrow get involved in the activities. Our residents love the connection with their local community.
• Reminiscence therapy – it’s wonderful for our residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
• Trips to Harrow Arts Centre, Pinner Green and Pinner Memorial Park.

Here, at Sanctuary Care, we understand how demanding care can be. Family caregivers looking after elderly relatives need to take a break.

Since we first opened our doors, more than a decade ago, we’ve established a family-like atmosphere. The family and friends of our residents play a huge part in life at Haven.

It is common for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their care home fees. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents due to the difference in care requirements and are subject to a pre-admissions assessment.
