Redhill Court Care Home, in Kings Norton, Birmingham
Redhill Court is a beautiful care home located on the outskirts of south Birmingham in the West Midlands. Complete with wonderful facilities, glorious gardens and a devoted care home team that truly cares.
Residents are at the heart of everything we do here. Our dedicated team provides a wide range of high-quality support for our residents inside our welcoming care home in Birmingham. This includes residential care, dementia care and respite care.
Wonderful care home facilities in Kings Norton, Birmingham
We always recommend visiting Redhill Court Care Home because of the fabulous facilities on offer. We have it all under one roof, in the heart of Kings Norton, Birmingham - including:
- a vintage cafe
- hairdressing salon
- welcoming pub
- 1940s reminiscence lounge
- and so much more!
The old-fashioned pub, Bounty's Edge, is at the heart of our care home.
Named after a resident's model ship ‘The Bounty’, Bounty's Edge is a social hub of our care home. We enjoy regular pub quizzes, games afternoons and ‘Happy Hour' on Fridays. We even argue it's the best pub in Kings Norton - not bad going for care home living.
Taking time for tea in the heart of our Birmingham care home
Our vintage café, decorated as a traditional tearoom, is another wonderful space in our care home. Both our residential and dementia residents enjoy freshly baked cakes and muffins each day here. It provides a quiet, and tasty, space in our buzzing Birmingham care home, where everyone can relax.
Redhill Court also has an old fashioned 1940s lounge, with a working terrestrial television box and a record player. Our residents love to pick their favourite records, from Dame Vera Lynn to Elvis. Even occasionally Backstreet Boys, which is one of our resident’s favourite albums to play!
A care home linked to its fabulous Birmingham community
Our residents love receiving visitors to the home. Local children from Kings Norton who come to the care home to play Lego and jigsaws are the most favoured guests. Residents also read the children's favourite stories. It really is heartwarming to see and the children even look up to residents as their extended grandparents.
The Travelling Theatre in Birmingham also comes to Redhill Court to stage special performances for our residents.
Our residents also love trips out to places like the Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire and The Nature Centre in Birmingham. We also enjoy visits to The Alexandra Theatre in Worcestershire for dementia-friendly performances.
Staff at our local pub in Kings Norton, are amazing with our residents, treating them as individuals. For our residents who live with dementia and require soft modified food, they are happy to oblige.
A short drive from the home is Sanctuary Care’s Castlecroft Residential Care Home. The residents love it when we take them to Castlecroft for ploughman’s lunches. We also return the favour with afternoon tea.
