Our activities coordinator, Kate, is responsible for organising all the meaningful activities and experiences our residents can get involved in.

Kate won two awards at the Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards 2023 and is hugely passionate about enriching the lives of our residents.

From one day to the next you can find us:

• Tending to the fruit and vegetable plants in our greenhouse and arranging flowers in our garden.
• Getting involved in fun projects with children from the local nursery – we love these intergenerational activities.
• Enjoying regular pampering sessions in our salon – we have a mobile hairdresser visit every week.
• Socialising in our many communal areas – our residents and carers love each other’s company.
• Visits to Droitwich Spa town centre – it’s just a short walk from Westmead, with great parks and cafés.
• Meeting with local church groups, who we’ve built fantastic relationships with over the years.

We’re like a big family here, at Westmead. Many of the staff have been with us for more than a decade, and some more than 15 years!

Our home manager, Taymar, has been with us for a long time, as both our deputy manager and administrator. We pride ourselves on being able to provide our residents consistency and high-quality support.

Our Droitwich care home also offers pre-bookable short and long-term respite care for elderly people.

Breaks can range from a week to considerably longer. The service is flexible to the needs of you or your loved one.
