Sam’s move to Beach Lawns - “I wish I’d done it 10 years ago!”

When Sam moved into Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home last year, he knew he’d found a true home.

“I’m very happy here – and I’ve got nothing to worry about,” he says. “The staff are so caring they are fantastic - they are there whenever you want them and will do anything for you.”

For the outgoing 80-year-old, the social aspect of life in the home, which overlooks the beach at Weston-super-Mare, is so important.

“I have made lots of new friends and it’s great fun living here,” he adds. “I wish I’d done it 10 years ago!"

For the retired butcher, there’s another very important part of life at Beach Lawns: “The food is very good indeed; it’s absolutely fantastic,” he adds.

Sam also loves all the activities on offer. The regular music sessions have given him the chance to continue his passion for singing. He often entertains his fellow residents with some Tom Jones classics!

The location is also perfect for Sam, with sea views and the famous pier and town centre within walking distance. He also loves to make the most of its private access to neighbouring Clarence Park.

“My daughter comes over and she pushes me in my chair, straight out the back door and across to the park”, he says.
