Inspirational Masline shortlisted for national nursing award

A dedicated member of the Sanctuary Care team is “shocked and delighted” after being shortlisted for Nurse of the Year accolade in the Nursing Times Awards 2022.
Masline Chitura joined Sanctuary Care in 2016 as a physical health nurse and is now Head of Clinical Improvement, championing clinical development across our 98 care homes in England and Scotland.
After hearing the good news she said: “I was shocked that I had been nominated and shortlisted and I am absolutely delighted that I will be representing Sanctuary Care as a finalist.”
Her nomination highlights her devotion to enriching the lives of not just residents, but of her colleagues, supporting them to thrive in their careers by nurturing potential. It revealed how she not only has exceptional clinical skills and a thirst for knowledge, but how she radiates positivity that is infectious, motivating and inspiring everybody around her to be the very best they can be.
Jane Earl, our Director of Nursing and Quality said: “We are delighted that Masline has been shortlisted for these prestigious awards. She is a true inspiration to everyone around her and we are so proud that she is part of Sanctuary Care.”
Masline will find out if she has won the Nurse of the Year accolade at the awards finals in October.
