The Beeches is our care home in Northfield, Birmingham. It has a warm, homely atmosphere and a team devoted to enriching residents’ lives with person-centred residential, dementia and respite care.
Our residents have such an active role to play in the running of their home. They help to interview potential staff, help shape the menu and choose what experiences they would like to enjoy.

A not for profit care provider, Sanctuary Care invests back into The Beeches Residential Care Home, making sure it’s a home everyone can be proud of, with:
- 56 comfortable bedrooms with en-suite bathroom facilities. Some of the ground-floor rooms feature patio doors leading to our gardens.
- A movie room where residents can enjoy a matinee movie with popcorn.
- A hairdressing salon - there's always plenty of pampering going on here!
- A dining room, where residents enjoy freshly-cooked meals together.
- Gardens with raised flower beds and wheelchair-friendly pathways.
- A vintage café, where residents and their families can chat over tea and homemade cake
- A new indoor night garden, with soothing lights and noises of nature.
Enriching lives – experiences to enjoy at our Northfield care home
Our ethos of enriching lives means that we are committed to enhancing quality of life for our residents through engaging experiences.
These include:
- Growing our own fruit and vegetables in the garden – this is particularly beneficial for our residents living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
- Cheese and wine evenings – we encourage the friends and family to join in.
- Welcoming student paramedics from Birmingham, work experience students and toddlers from the local nursery in Northfield.
- Interactive games on our ‘Magic Table’, involving lights, popping bubbles and catching fish.
- Socialising in our dining rooms, with home-cooked meals prepared by our chef.
- Gentle exercise sessions.
- Arts and crafts.

Pricing information
It is common for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their care home fees.

Our weekly fees are individually tailored to each of our residents, depending on the results of their pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed.
